Tryggevaelde Stream

For now this section is about Denmark - and mainly the area around Copenhagen.

The Tryggevaelde is a large and fairly slow stream that runs into the ocean south of the city Koege. The lowest part is known for its perch and ide fishing, while very nice pike can be caught here as well as further up in the stream. Sea run trout can be found in the stream, particularly in the cold season where bright fish go into the stream to be protected from the cold saltwater.

Access is easy at the public parking lot where the road Stevnsvej crosses the stream. Here you can access the lower parts of the stream. To get to the stream further upstream, you need to go on the road Køgevej towards south and park along the road and cross the fields to get to the stream.

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
See more details about what you can do to help in this blog post.

The Global FlyFisher was updated to a new publishing system early March 2025, and there may still be a few glitches while the last bits get fixed. If you meet anything that doesn't work, please let me know.
