This large fjord system is a popular and productive fishing location with a lot of easily accessible spots. The fjord is particularly popular in the cold season where the sea trout will be on their way to or from migration.
The Isefjord can be fished in almost any wind since there's always a place, which is sheltered, and it's worth trying your luck almost any place where you can access the water. The deeper into the fjord you go the more silty and muddy the bottom gets, becoming almost lake like with shallow beaches rimmed by reeds, but these parts should not be neglected, particularly not in the colder part of the season. In southern and eastern winds, the small Ejby Harbor can be a good starting point for a trip. Park in the harbor and walk north.
The fjord system is large with many branches and looking at a map will give you hints to lots of places where you can access the water. Some places may require a walk, while others are right on the water's edge.
The Isefjord is not easy to reach by public transport or bike (unless you are close by).
The Isefjord is accessible from many places. Car access is easy in the city Ejby, which has a small harbor with public parking. There's access many other places too. The camping ground north of Vellerup Vig is also a popular spot. Both places are served by public bus lines.
